"M" and "MDJ" refer to gold finishes. "M" stands for "metal," and "MDJ" stands for "metal dijon." "SM" stands for "silver metal." The number after the letters is the antique. Thus, M205 and SM205 have the same antique; however, M205 is the gold version, whereas SM205 is the silver version. We use two different types of gold metal leaf. The one used for finishes marked "M" is slightly redder, whereas the one used for "MDJ" finishes is slightly greener.
